Knitfest, an exciting weekend Yarn & Fibre Arts Festival was held in Maleny on the weekend.

Despite poor weather on Saturday and Covid uncertainties, volunteers and organisers were out in force celebrating fibre arts and crafts, covering Maleny in heartwarming decorations and building on the town’s reputation as a centre of art and craft creativity.

It proved to be a magical festival for people to appreciate the fibre arts including knitting, crochet, basket weaving, spinning and weaving, felting and more.

The theme for this year was “There’s a Dragon in my Garden”. The works will remain on display this week.
