Gallery: Coast flocks to Nambour Showgrounds
The Sunshine Coast's biggest annual event, the Sunshine Coast Agriculatural Show, returned at the weekend for its 118th consecutive year.
The local Show helps keep our history and traditions alive, unites the country and the city, and promotes our iconic agricultural industries within the Sunshine Coast community.
Organisers were hoping for record crowds and the weather was great. Things were looking good on Friday but Saturday and Sunday crowds were a little underwhelming, although final figures are yet to be calculated.
Show Society President Rowan O’Hara told the Gazette spending was down, which he said was not suprising given cost of living pressures.
Still, tens of thousands of people immersed themselves across 3 days of fun filled rides, farm animals, a diverse range of food and beverages for the whole family and much, much more.
