Fun on four wheels as Antique Car Club hosts Independent Living clients at Showgrounds

On a glorious day, Saturday 8th May, Sunshine Coast Independent Living clients and connections visited the Sunshine Coast Antique Car Club for a Fun Day.

The visitors were treated to morning tea, music by ‘Missing Link’ and the opportunity to take a ride in a special vintage or classic car prior to a sausage sizzle lunch.

Passengers were able to choose between Austin, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Essex, Holden, MGB, Triumph, Valiant, Vauxhall, Volkswagen, Zephyr vehicles or a much younger Porsche in which to take a ride around the superbly maintained Nambour Showgrounds. All participants thoroughly enjoyed the occasion.

The next major SCACC event will be the Nambour Swap on 31st July and the Club looks forward to the public’s support for a ‘Bumper Swap’.

SCACC is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee and exists to foster, encourage and advance interest in the history, restoration, care and preservation of old engine driven vehicles.

The club is active in the community through financial donations and attendance at events.
