Light the Lights: Mapleton’s  fun family Christmas event

Begin the Christmas season with your neighbours, friends, and family at the Mapleton Light the Lights event! Join the fun at Lilyponds Park on Friday 6th December, from 5pm (from 4:30 for face-painting) to 8pm, for an evening of fun, food and drinks stalls, music and community spirit.

Entertainment by our talented locals including the Range Community Kindergarten, the Sunshine Coast U3A’s Sunshine Chimes, and the vibrant Mapleton Choir, will be followed by an evening of great music by popular band Girl Friday.

Children’s face painting starts at 4.30pm and will be followed by Miss Donna & Mr Jay’s Magical Christmas Show. Children will be pleased to know that our Santa-Tracker predicts a visit by the man in red.

You can buy tickets in the Multi Draw Raffle with generous prizes provided by community-focussed businesses.

The price is just $2 each or three for $5. Win a QCCC Family Accommodation Package, also Christmas Hampers and Vouchers.

The Light the Lights event is an extra-wonderful celebration this year as organisers, MADCA (Mapleton and District Community Association), use funds raised from running the Mapleton Country Market, to give back to the community. This year, the Mapleton Choir, Range Community Kindergarten, and the Mapleton State School, have all received funds to support their initiatives to enrich our community.

In the event of bad weather, the event will move to the Mapleton State School, where the lighting has recently been improved with funds provided by MADCA.

See you on the Range!

Girl Friday are ready to entertain.
