The Maleny Singers’ annual Christmas carols fundraiser lit up the Maleny RSL on Friday evening (December 13), drawing a full house of enthusiastic community members.

The event, held in support of local rural firefighters, was a spirited night of singing, camaraderie, and festive cheer.

With the invaluable support of Chris Brooker and Maleny RSL, the audience sang along to beloved carols including Maleny Singers’ Patron MP Andrew Powell and rural firefighters Robyn, Scott and Chris, who joined in uniform to rally support.

The firies passed their helmets through the crowd, collecting over $1000 to help fund new sirens.

The Maleny Singers expressed their gratitude to all who attended, donated, and made the night a success.

Maleny Singers are now in their 21st year, so the occasion represented a significant celebration under the guidance of Musical Director, Margaret Taylor.
