Brady’s brings the joy of stone fruit this Christmas

Brendan and Col Pearce showcase the festive season’s finest—fresh lychees, mangoes, and cherries—at Brady’s Fruit in Palmwoods.

Christmas is the time of year that is synonymous with stone fruit, and each year, the team at Brady’s Fruit in Palmwoods works overtime to supply the best and freshest fruit available.

Regular customers of Brady’s Fruit are familiar with the high quality of fresh produce that is the standard.

“Experience is what tells us if fruit and veggies are going to be any good or not,” said owner, Col Pearce .

“We have excellent relationships going back over 45 years with our suppliers at the Brisbane markets and if the produce is not flavourful and fresh, I am not interested in selling it.”

With Christmas nearly upon us, locals are able to buy the very best quality new season stone fruit including cherries and mangoes.

“I am always a late starter in stone fruit,” Col explained. “I hold out for the right variety of the best quality. Our regular customers hold out for our 2kg boxes of cherries, and mango trays.

“Each year we have the 2kg boxes of cherries, which will be available again, weather permitting. You can’t go wrong with fresh fruit, and the 2kg boxes are very special.

“A nice little late surprise is that the donut peaches and nectarines have come in, in time for Santa and his helpers. The kids love them!”

And Col’s favourite fruit? “Any fruit, as long as it tastes good!”
