Graziers sell prized Dulong Downs property
Well known graziers John and Lis Allen recently sold their prized Sunshine Coast Hinterland property, Dulong Downs. Having been long term residents of the Dulong area for over 20 years, they will be missed by many friends in the district.
Dulong Downs is regarded as some of the finest country in the area and was owned for many years by the Ledger family who ran a highly productive dairy. The Allens ran beef cattle and often topped local sales with their stock.
“The property has 41 hectares of well improved Kikuyu, Setaria and Legume pastures with an extremely good water supply from several dams and a spring fed creek,” said agent Roger Loughnan.
Improvements included an architect designed Scandinavian inspired homestead with stunning views to the coast, large machinery shed and steel cattle yards.
“Dulong Downs” is located just 10 minutes to Nambour and 30 mins to Maroochydore.
The buyer is a locally born identity who has been residing in Singapore for many years who plans to relocate with his family within the next year.
The selling price was not disclosed however the most recent listed price was $2.75m and the sale is understood to be the highest in the area in recent times. According to the agents, demand is very strong for lifestyle acreages given the global pandemic with very limited supply.
