Truth, Healing and Prophecy at the Old Ambo
The Old Ambulance Station is pleased to team up with Arts Connect to present a fabulous new exhibition by Sunshine Coast artists, entitled Truth, Healing and Prophecy.
Arts Connect Coordinator Lou Jaeger said the idea started in June 2021. Member artists were invited to create art reflecting the difficult times we live in, and were given complete freedom to choose forms and media. The 28 Arts Connect members who responded range from well known established figures to emerging artists for whom this is their first opportunity to be exhibited.
This has resulted in a wonderful diversity of art, ranging from stunning bronze sculptures, oil and acrylic paintings, artist books and prints, to found objects and installations.
Visitors to the gallery will have the chance to vote for their favourite work for the People’s Choice prize of $500, donated by Marcel Desbiens from the Bienarte Art School in Brisbane.
Truth, Healing and Prophecy is now open at the Old Ambulance Station Gallery at 80 Howard St Nambour, across the road from the Plaza. It will run until March 5th, Monday to Saturday from 10am to 3pm.
