Sunday 25 April 2021 marks the 106th anniversary of the landing of ANZAC troops on Gallipoli. Here’s a rundown of Anzac Day commemorations around the readership, pending Covid restrictions.

Montville

• 5.30am: Montville Memorial Gates, Montville Hall. Coffee/tea/ANZAC biscuits afterwards

Maleny

• 4.28am: Dawn Service at RSL Maleny Cenotaph. A Gunfire Breakfast will be served in the hall after the Dawn Service.

• 9.45am: Service at Maleny Soldiers Memorial Hospital

• 10.15am: Assemble for March along Maple and Bunya Streets

• 10.45am: Community Service at RSL Maleny Cenotaph and Hall. Lunch will be served after the main service.

Mapleton

• 9am: Mapleton RSL Memorial Park, (no march), morning tea afterwards in Mapleton Hall

Nambour

• 5.15am: Nambour RSL Club - march to the wall of Remembrance at Quota Park.

• 5.30am: Dawn Service commences.

• 6am: Gunfire breakfast to follow the dawn service at Nambour RSL Club from 6am to 8.30am.  14 Mathew Street, Nambour.

Witta

• 9am: Service at Witta Cemetery.

Woombye

• 5.30am: The Woombye Dawn Service and breakfast will resume again this ANZAC Day.  The Commemoration will be at the Woombye Memorial Park, at the bottom of Blackall Street.

The Service will be conducted by the Woombye Lighthorse Troop and the Salvation Army and Band.

The Gunfire breakfast afterwards will be provided by the Woombye-Palmwoods Rotary in conjunction with the Bowls club.

All welcome to attend and remember and place a wreath or flowers.

Yandina:

• 11am: Main Commemorative Service begins 11am and finishes at approximately 11.30am.

Followed by lunch/refreshments at the hall.
