Classic cars to line up in Woombye for Happy Days Festival
Shiny chrome, polished paintwork and motoring nostalgia will be on proud display in Woombye this May, as part of the annual Woombye Happy Days Festival.
A curated collection of vintage and classic cars will line Hill Street, giving festival-goers a close-up look at motoring history—from retro family sedans to iconic muscle cars of the 50s and 60s.
This year’s display is being coordinated with help from local enthusiast Dave Ledger of Sunshine Steering in Palmwoods, who has thrown his support behind the event.
“There’s something really special about seeing these classics out on display—not just parked in a shed,” said Dave. “They spark memories, start conversations, and bring people together across generations. I’m proud to be supporting Happy Days and helping to share some of this motoring history with the community.”
Festival Director Milo Frawley said the classic car display had become a crowd favourite.
“It’s a perfect fit for the Happy Days vibe—people love seeing the cars they grew up with, or that their parents once drove. They really help bring the whole retro theme to life,” Mr Frawley said.
The free event runs from 10am to 5pm on Sunday, May 4th, along Hill Street in the Woombye village centre, and will include live music, vintage markets, dancing, the kids zone and family fun.
