Farmland, fields flooded at Woombye

Woombye experienced significant flooding, submerging low-lying areas including Foley’s Farm and the Woombye Snakes Football Club’s soccer fields.  Long-time resident James Kasmer, who photographed the inundated soccer fields, remarked, “I’ve been here 21 years and never seen water so high.”

Similarly, Steve Marshall, owner of Foley’s Farm, observed unprecedented water levels on his property.  Fortunately, at the soccer fields, the floodwaters stopped short of reaching the canteen and main building, averting potential structural damage.
