Modern folk supergroup ‘The Shining Hour’ to tour the hinterland

This September, The Shining Hour, a celebrated folk supergroup, is set to enchant the Sunshine Coast with their unique blend of modern folk, bluegrass, and Americana. Comprising multi-award-winning artists Nadia Sunde, Marcus Church, and Paul Henderson, the band will perform in Maleny, Pomona, Coolum, and Eudlo from September 5 to 8, 2024.

The trio, known for their storytelling prowess and musical expertise, will engage audiences with a mix of original songs and curated covers. “The Sunshine Coast feels like a second home to me,” said Nadia Sunde. “Bringing this band and these songs into these spaces is going to be incredible. I can’t wait!”

The tour is supported by the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland, ArtsCoast, and the Regional Arts Development Fund. Local performing arts company Red Chair presents the tour, which promises to be a series of memorable evenings filled with sublime music and shared laughter.

• Performance dates include the Maleny Community Centre on September 5, Majestic Theatre in Pomona on September 6, Coolum Civic Centre on September 7, and Eudlo Hall on September 8. For full event details, visit www.redchair.com.au.
