Where to find products for your home and health under one roof

Trina Costello says, since Covid, people are now more inclined to pay more attention to their health and what they surround themselves with in the homes.

Business Writeup:
The Spiritual Health Shop

Yandina’s The Spiritual Health Shop owner, Trina Costello has drawn on her experience working  in retail and the plant nursery industry to merge natural products for health and home under one roof.

“When I first opened my doors 13 years ago, it was a book exchange,” said Trina. “I had a few bits and bobs like handmade soaps, but mainly I focussed on books.

“But I had always had an interest in natural health products and over time I phased the books out and concentrated on health and bodycare and now homewares as well.”

Trina’s move into a different market was particularly boosted along over the past three years of covid lockdowns.

“I think the silver lining of the last couple of years is that many people have become more aware of the importance of self care and they are also more inclined to pay more attention to their health and homes, and what they surround themselves with,” she said.

“As people have spent more time at home, they have made a dedicated effort to make their homes nicer places to be.”

Today, The Spiritual Health Shop is brimming with unusual and natural supplements and body care products,  and everything you can imagine to decorate your home.

“As a result of increased demand, I now stock crystals, salt lamps, incense, soy candles, ornaments, essential oils, clothing, Angels, Buddhas, tarot cards, natural cleaning products, meditation CDs, natural room sprays, windchimes, decorative pots and potted plants and products that are generally beautiful or make you feel good,” Trina said.

“If I can help my customers feel great and create a peaceful environment in their homes, then I have done my job.”

• The Spiritual Health Shop is at 4-14 Farrell Street Yandina and is open 6 days, Monday to Saturday. Phone 0480 293 011.
