Business Writeup: The Potting Shed at the Ginger Factory

There is a new location for garden lovers open now in Yandina and it is fairly bursting with glorious colour.

“We have designed The Potting Shed to be the ultimate location for gardeners,” said Ginger Factory Marketing Manager Brenda Bailey.

The Ginger Factory has long been known for its fabulous annual Ginger Flower Festival but the past couple of years of lockdowns and restrictions has forced the cancellation of the festival. “Then we decided that there was no reason why we couldn’t grow, showcase and sell ginger flowers every day,” Brenda said.

“Visitors to the Ginger Factory tend to be people who love gardening and this seemed to be a great way to create the perfect environment for the plants to thrive, and for our guests to enjoy. The Potting Shed has the correct blend of light, shade and water and our ginger and turmeric plants love it as much as our visitors!”

The Ginger Factory has an in-house horticultural team who have done an amazing job of growing the ginger and turmeric plants.

“We have got fabulous suppliers but I really do want to acknowledge our own knowledgeable and experienced team who have been instrumental in bringing this dream to life. The shed is packed with the most lush, premium quality plants for our guests to purchase and enjoy at home,” said Brenda.

“Gardening is Australia’s number one hobby and I think people are generally becoming more aware of the health benefits of gardening. It makes sense to also work with plants like ginger and turmeric that have such diverse and wide ranging health benefits.”

The Potting Shed is located opposite the Moreton train park, and like the Ginger Factory, is open every day except Christmas day.

The Ginger Factory is at 50 Pioneer Road Yandina. Entry is free.
