Fresh cut: father–daughter duo sets up at North Coast Mowers

Ramey & Shelley Shamrock in the Nambour showroom

Nambour’s North Coast Mowers is under new ownership following the sale of the business late last year.

Ramey Shamrock and his daughter Shelley have taken over from Gerald Robertson, who ran the business for 18 years.

With a 20+ year background in retail, Ramey is excited about the challenge of taking on the business.

“I have previously worked for Harvey Norman computers and The Good Guys, so this is a bit of a departure from those markets, but we are looking forward to getting into it,” Ramey said.

“We are fortunate to have some excellent brands here, including Cub Cadet, which is a world class product that is perfectly suited to hilly blocks.”

Ramey and his family also run another local business, Nicki’s Professional Security Screens & Blinds, and are great supporters of local suppliers and community groups.

“We have quite a few tweaks in the works for North Coast Mowers, and there will be a few new faces, but many of the staff will be staying on, which is great,” he said.

“We are keen to get involved with the Nambour community and show our support there as well, in the coming months.”

• North Coast Mowers is at 36 Coronation Ave, Nambour, www.northcoastmowercentre.com.
