National Recognition for Wedding Excellence

Flaxton Gardens has been named in the top five wedding reception venues in the nation at Australia’s most prestigious wedding industry awards held April 24.

Flaxton Gardens received consistently high-quality ratings and reviews over four consecutive years, just to qualify for the 12th Designer of Dreams Australian Bridal Industry Association (ABIA ) Wedding Awards. The field was exceptionally competitive with 414 nominees and 20 finalists in their Reception Venue category from all over Australia.

“The ratings and reviews were offered from a large percentage of our wedding clients,” said  Flaxton Gardens Marketing Manager Marlene Murray. “It is the actual couples who rate and review each wedding combined with the consistency over a 4-year duration that wins out in the end results,” said Marlene.

“To be voted the top reception venue for the region is a wonderful accolade. We are so proud of our team staying consistent and growing. In those four years we had to shut down as a venue and we had to transfer 96 weddings, not once but some several times due to covid restrictions.

“The crazy ‘must not dance’ rule was during that time also but we are dancing now. That’s for sure!” said Marlene.

“Thank you to the amazing staff and couples at Flaxton but also the quality suppliers in one of Australia’s favourite wedding regions. And a big thank you also to Hinterland Tourism who went above and beyond during one of the worst times for weddings ever experienced. We all made it and we are so very grateful for the outcome.”

The National ABIA Award represents consistency in excellence, innovation, and professionalism.

Over 6700 Wedding Professionals across the country were rated and reviewed by 100,869 newly-weds over the past four years. Only 5 percent of vendors, including Flaxton Gardens  qualified for the awards.  Go to flaxtongardens.com.au or phone 5445 7450.
