After the recent success of the Neil Murray show at Black Box Theatre, Peace Run records has programmed their next Nambour’s Got Soul concert which will feature progressive 5 piece Sydney folk sensation Emily Rose & the Wild Things.

Music curator and promoter Andrea Kirwin of Peace Run Records and Agency said the interstate headliners would be supported by local up and coming Soul act, The Dawn Light (Duo) on Friday 8 July.

“These curated concerts showcase some of the best Australian bands and artists performing truly inspiring originals,” said Andrea.

“It’s an opportunity to bring world class talent to our town and help make Nambour into a genuine music destination for touring artists and bands who are looking for a listening and appreciative audience.”

This will be the group’s first tour since the pandemic halted the music industry and Emily Rose said the band couldn’t wait to come to Nambour, which is why she reached out to Andrea after renowned Maleny Multi-instrumentalist Linsey Pollak suggested she get in touch.

“I’ve spent two long years waiting to bring this beautiful music from our debut album to live audiences – especially in regional areas,” said Emily-Rose. “I’m especially excited to be playing in Nambour with the lovely Andrea Kirwin hosting the event. She is one of the most enthusiastic and caring musicians and promoters I’ve dealt with so far in organising my tour and Nambour is so lucky to have her! I can already feel it’s going to be one of the best nights of the tour.

“Our performances have been loved by the jazz crowd, folkies, metal heads, indie lovers and experimental fans across the board. So you know that the show will take you on an exceptional journey.”

It is part of Emily Rose & the Wild Things’ ‘Upon These Open Skins’ 2022 Tour of regional and capital cities across the nation.
Emily-Rose & the Wild Things is the newest project from ARIA-nominated member of Chaika, Emily-Rose Sarkova.

• Doors open 6.30pm and the Concert is from 7pm on Friday 8 July at Nambour’s Black Box Theatre at The Old Ambulance Station, 80 Howard St. Tickets are $25 + booking fee. Nambour Tickets: www.eventbrite.com.au/e/338004810487.
