Nambour Chamber hosts successful networking event at Big Pineapple

Business owners from Woombye, Nambour and Palmwoods came together last week for a well-attended networking event hosted by the Nambour Chamber of Commerce at the Big Pineapple Café.

Around 90 local business representatives gathered to connect over coffee, ride the recently refurbished cane train, and enjoy a unique opportunity to interact with Wildlife HQ zoo residents.

The event also featured a series of informative talks from local leaders. Peter Kendall provided the latest updates on the exciting future plans for the Big Pineapple precinct, while Tyler Harford from the Sunshine Coast Council’s Economic Development team spoke about the free "Better Business" training initiative with TAFE QLD and small business support through the "Level Up" program.

Attendees were also briefed on the upcoming "Thriving through Change" Business Expo, designed to help local businesses navigate evolving market challenges.

Representatives from the Woombye Community and Business Association, the Palmwoods Community and Business Association, and the Nambour Chamber of Commerce each delivered updates from their respective areas. Cr David Law, representing Division 10, rounded out the discussions with insights into upcoming regional projects.

Tanya Outridge from the Sunshine Valley Gazette announced new promotional opportunities for businesses in the upcoming 2025 Nambour & Hinterland Business Directory, encouraging local companies to get involved.

• The next Nambour Chamber of Commerce Coffee Catch-up is scheduled for Wednesday, October 2, at Post Coffee Shop in Burnside.
