There’s no doubt the music industry felt the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic more than  most.

Bands and musicians all around the world cancelled every tour, gig and festival on the horizon.

Local singer songwriter Dave Barrie, pictured, had five gigs in the hinterland booked in April and May, all of which were cancelled.  Dave quickly found the positives in the situation and jumped into the recording studio to record a batch of new original songs.

His new EP ‘Sprint Through A Hurricane’ is coming soon and first single ‘Set In Stone’ is out this week.

To launch his single, he’s returning to the stage at 6pm on Friday July 24 at Gun Cotton Coffee Roasters in Yandina.

“Corey, Grace and the team at Gun Cotton are keen local music supporters. They were one of the first venues on the Sunshine Coast to put live gigs back on and I’m thrilled to be invited to play,” said Dave.
