Fashion shop expansion a strong sign for thriving town
At a time when so many businesses are closing it’s a testament to Yandina that Cindy Lidington is looking to expand her women’s clothes shop in Stevens Street.
Such is her faith in the town the owner of Stay Wild Collective is looking to double her space to a new premise.
She said Yandina’s distinctive feel derived from its interesting mix of shops and the individuality owners brought to their enterprises. The town’s character was drawing people from near and far as Yandina’s reputation grew.
“Yandina is such a lovely town,” she said. “Country towns that do well are the ones who do something a bit different. It’s a great little place.
“We stock natural fibres and small labels for ladies from 16 years old to my oldest customer who is in her 80s.
“We’re on trend but not trendy. We don’t do fast fashion. It’s more slow fashion.”
Stay Wild Collective is at 13 Stevens Street.
