Little plover with a very protective parent

This very cute little plover chick with a protective mum or dad was snapped recently by one of the crew from Bush Care Sunshine Coast. “There are two babies down near where we’ve been working, but they never usually stand still for photos,” said BCSC coordinator Norm Morwood. “Their presence was noted by our wildlife recorder Judy Burns earlier this month and the chick will probably be looking full size next time we’re back there again,” he said.
