LiFT gym’s charity event champions Inclusive Kids

On the 31st of this month, LiFT Nambour is running a charity event in support of Inclusive Kids on the Sunshine Coast.

“The event is called LiFT X and sees participants battle it out head to head in a series of specially designed fitness events,” said LiFT Nambour owner, Wendy Versluis.

This will be LiFT Nambour’s third time running the event and Wendy expected it to be bigger and better than before with the goal being to raise over $6000 for Inclusive Kids. “We have partnered with this charity for the past few years. We love the amazing work they do for the kids in our community and that every dollar raised goes directly to the kids,” she said.

“Unfortunately, many children and young people face financial difficulties, which deprive them of fully experiencing the opportunities available in their communities.”

Inclusive Kids raises funds for children who lack the necessary financial resources to fully and actively participate, feel a sense of belonging, and be included in their respective communities.

“We are looking for local businesses to get involved and be part of the event, and there are a few ways for your business to support this fundraiser,” Wendy said.

You can sponsor one of the rounds (strength, endurance, conditioning), with a minimum donation of $100 dollars. You can provide a prize for one of the 6 event finalists, or you can provide small prizes for all the participants (around 20 members will be competing).

“In return your business will feature on our socials, and there will be shout-outs for your business during the event. We will also display any promotional material you supply.

“And of course, we invite you to come along and get amongst it on the day.”

“The previous events have been fantastic for  raising funds and for making our growing membership community aware of our incredible business sponsors. It’s a real win-win.”

Wendy said the event was not limited to members and encouraged the local Nambour community to come down to watch the competition.

“There will be raffle tickets sold for prizes to be won on the morning and there will also be second hand clothing sold for $2-$5 with all money going to Inclusive Kids.”
