Nambour’s Queen Street has welcomed a distinctive addition with the opening of LDL Boutique, a store that embodies the unique style and passion of its owner, Suzanne King.

Located at 14 Queen Street, LDL—which stands for Leather, Denim, and Lace—offers a curated selection of pre-loved, upcycled, and vintage fashion, as well as handmade items and gifts.

“So yes, it is my little baby, and I have been dreaming about it for a long time,” said Suzanne. “I’ve always been into a little bit of quirky, different fashion. I’ve always been a little bit of an old soul too, so I like vintage thrown in with a some boho and shabby chic styling.”

Suzanne’s vision for LDL Boutique is deeply personal, aiming to create a space that mirrors her own eclectic tastes. “I wanted a space that reflected who I am, so this is it. So it doesn’t get more honest than this,” she said.

The boutique emphasises sustainability, offering a colourful, characterful range of items. “We’re all about pre-loved upcycling. A little bit of vintage,” Suzanne said.

The store also features homemade products crafted by friends and family, including plants from her mother-in-law’s garden. “Everything basically is for sale. And yeah, we just offer a little bit of a flare of difference, and I think it’s very Nambour and great for Nambour.”

LDL also caters to men, offering a selection of western-inspired apparel including Wrangler  and Levi jeans.

“I personally wear leather denim and lace every single day. It doesn’t matter what I’m going to, where I’m going to, leather, denim, and lace are my staples. I find it fun. They are sustainable. They really last forever. And they’re so easy to care for.”

Beyond clothing, Suzanne has a variety of gift items, including diffusers, jewellery, plants, leather bags, and belts.

She is also open to sourcing specific items for customers and her enthusiasm for her new venture is palpable.

“This year, 2025, is my year, and I’m leaping and I’m jumping into it. I’m going to give it a red hot go. And like I said, it has been amazing. The response is so positive, so exciting.  I’ve had comments such as, ‘Oh my gosh, I feel like I’m over in New York or down in Melbourne’ when they come in and shop around. So that’s very nice feedback.”
