‘Gardeners Path’ offers tailored support for seniors

Business Writeup: Gardener’s Path

FOR many, a garden is more than just a patch of greenery—it’s a sanctuary, a source of peace, and a cherished connection to nature. But as we age, maintaining these outdoor havens can become increasingly challenging.

That’s where Gardeners Path steps in, offering tailored gardening services designed for people over 55, especially those with smaller gardens.

Founded by Tracie Blazely, Gardeners Path is the culmination of her lifelong passion for horticulture and her dedication to supporting older adults and those with disabilities. After a career in support services, Tracie turned her love of gardening into a new venture, supported by the Self Employment Assistance program.

“I’ve always been captivated by the transformative power of gardens,” Ms Blazely says. “My goal is to create spaces that are manageable and bring joy, while reducing the physical demands on my clients.”

Tracie’s journey began years ago when she was inspired by lush tropical designs she encountered while working in event settings. This led her to complete a Certificate III in Horticulture, a Permaculture Design Course, and a Therapeutic Horticulture Instructor program.

Now, she applies her skills to help older adults maintain their connection to nature. Gardeners Path specialises in low-maintenance solutions such as drought-tolerant plants, ergonomic tools, and raised garden beds.

“It’s not just about maintaining a garden,” Ms Blazely adds. “It’s about fostering independence, creating connection, and enhancing wellbeing.” Her tailored services also offer opportunities for learning and companionship, turning garden maintenance into a fulfilling experience. From balconies to patios, no space is too small to transform into a serene haven.

Tracie’s unique approach combines practical expertise with heartfelt care, helping clients rediscover the joy of gardening without the strain.

“Watching a garden bloom should be a pleasure, not a burden,” she says.
