“Taste of Woombye’ event showcases local excellence

In the hinterland, we are particularly spoiled when it comes to fresh produce and award winning local producers.

With this in mind, Rebecca Galler of Frankie’s Woombye has decided to create a culinary event that showcases the best our region has to offer.

“There are so many fabulous small businesses in Woombye and I really wanted to host a  collaborative evening to feature their incredible products,” she said.

The ‘Taste of Woombye’ event will start from 4pm at Frankie’s on Friday November 1, and Rebecca hopes it will be the first of many.

“We are teaming up with Woombye Cheese, Woombye Butchery and Sunshine & Sons to prepare some sumptuous charcuterie boards, and gin and rum based cocktails,” she said.

“The produce from these amazing local suppliers stands alone, so our chefs are going to have to pull out all stops to curate the product range and present them with a Frankie’s vibe.”

“Given the calibre of the product we will be featuring, this event is going to sell out fast, so I recommend anyone who is interested jump on our website www.frankieswoombye.com to reserve their ticket, or come into the cafe to book your seat.”

Frankie’s is at 2/9 Blackall Street Woombye and is open Monday- Friday 6am to 1:30pm, Friday night for Tapas Dinner between 4pm and 8:30pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 6:30am to 12 midday.
