Eudlo Festival back for more soul, blues and folk music

The Spirits Blues Band is ready to rock Eudlo.

Brought to an abrupt halt in 2020 by the dreaded Covid, Eudlo Music Nights Festival took an enforced break, but is being revived as a one-night big concert, on 26 October.  The beloved Wominjeka Park is the setting again, and Glasshouse Musos, helmed by music maestro Michael Whiticker, is collaborating with Eudlo Hall and Grounds Association Inc volunteers to provide a night of soul, blues and roots, with a touch of folk.

Among the booked acts you’ll hear the legendary Claptomaniacs with their “Cream of Clapton” and “Doobies and Steely Dan” Tribute shows. There’s local 6-piece blues giants the Spirits, with a hard-rocking dance set. Popular local original artist and exceptional guitarist and singer Carl Lynch will be joined by collaborators Peter Hudson on drums and Tim Finnigan on bass. Local favourites include Beare Brand with Roger Beare and his spanking sax accompanied by soulful vocals to die for, and Kevin Brand doing everything else. Along with Deni Chapple and friends and Holzweg, it all makes for a stellar line up.

Amplified music ends at 10pm, followed by the chance to sing and play music around the campfire.

Organisers are limiting tickets to this “boutique event” to 150, which includes overnight camping at Wominjeka Park (toilets only, no showers and BYO drinking water for campers).

Gates open at 2.30pm, with music starting at 4pm.  Food and Bar by Eudlo Hall with money raised from the night going to hall and grounds maintenance and improvements. Michael and the Eudlo Hall team have a reputation for bringing quality live music to Sunshine Coast hinterland, and this concert will be no exception.
