Yandina Bowls Club (Club Yandina) is excited to be hosting its first ‘Come and Try Day’, and ‘Jack Attack’  participation programs this month.

Supported by Bowls Queensland and Bowls Australia the programs are designed to engage the local community and businesses.

The ‘Come and Try Day’, with an Oktoberfest theme, will commence at noon on Sunday, 17 October, with a German style hotdog and beer lunch combo available for purchase, followed by more beers and snacks (from the bar) and barefoot bowls from 1pm.

‘Jack Attack’ is a social, fast moving, shorter format of bowls that provides a pathway for novice players or barefoot bowlers to get involved in a more structured competition. ‘Jack Attack’ encourages participation with its easy rules, fun atmosphere and inclusivity.

Competition involves teams of 3, with up to 6 players able to register for a team to accommodate for busy lifestyles and substitutions, with each ‘Jack Attack’ match lasting around 60 minutes.

Club Yandina’s ‘Jack Attack’ competition will commence from 6.30pm, on Wednesday, 27 October 2021 and will continue for 4 weeks each Wednesday evening. Prizes will be awarded each night and at the end of the competition.

Phone the Club on 5446 7126 (leave a message) or email yandinabowlsclubinc@bigpond.com for more information, and with your interest to attend our ‘Come and Try Day, or to register for ‘Jack Attack’.
