Supporters brave weather for 10th annual Woombye Christmas on the Fields

Numbers were down, but the festive spirit soared as the tenth annual Woombye Christmas on the Fields went ahead at Woombye Snakes Football Fields on Saturday, December 14.

Di Parker, from St Margaret’s Anglican Op Shop, has organised the family-focused event every year. “It’s all about the kids when it comes to Christmas,” Ms Parker said.

“That’s why we started this—to do something for local families and keep costs down.”

Long-time volunteers and mates since grade 1, Glenn Blakeney and Wayne Neil from Neil’s Farming once again stepped up to help bring it all together.

Santa delighted children and adults with treats, and a raffle featuring a wheelbarrow brimming with food and gifts left winners smiling.
