Bank grant provides comfort for Parkinson’s choir

The Restoring Hope Parkinson’s Therapy Choir of Sound INTENT has recently received much needed support in the form of $3,500 which has been used to purchase new comfortable, sturdy chairs.

“We are so grateful for this generous donation by the Community Bank Woombye & Districts,” said Speech Therapist, Louise Williams. “The process of applying for Grants is incredibly time consuming and requires a huge amount of administration and paperwork. But the team at the Woombye branch just made this happen for us, with no fuss. The difference it will make to our members cannot be overstated.”

The new chairs were carefully selected to meet the comfort and safety requirements of people with Parkinson’s, thereby improving patient safety and efficiency of group members being seated during their weekly groups.

“The new chairs will be enjoyed and appreciated by clients visiting the clinic for therapy sessions or for community education events as well,” said Louise.

“Every day we are fortunate to see acts of kindness and generosity all around us in our wonderful hinterland community, and this is just one more.”
