Celebration of Nambour creativity planned for July 30

Dan Murphy of Nambour’s Knot Normal Interiors is organising the inaugural 'Nambour Creator's Fest'.

Something special is happening at 17 Florence Street, Nambour, on Sunday July 30 from noon-5pm.

It’s the inaugural “Nambour Creator's Fest” aimed at showcasing an array of local artists, creators, musicians and performers.

“There will be face painting, juggling and circus toys for the kids, and plenty to look at for the adults, and live music throughout the day, and a Sausage Sizzle.

“It’s a celebration,” said organiser Dan Murphy of Nambour’s Knot Normal Interiors.

“It’s to celebrate creation, especially creation in Nambour. Because there is a very, very wide range of people doing wonderful things sometimes completely against the grain, because they want to.

“And you realize that there's only so much opportunity that is out there for people to grow doing their thing. So we're holding this day just for people to express their art, their creation, their musical talent. And we're just supporting the community to come down, see what's available, bring your cash, keep cash in the community, and hopefully you go away with a smile or something good to take home. It's going to be an amazing afternoon of fun and creativity, we'd love to see everyone there.”
