Lauren Yarrow-Kipping’s dream of owning her own cafe has been realised with the opening of Bitesize Bliss Cafe in Howard Street, Nambour.

“I have worked in hospitality for 11 years so I think I have a good feel for the kind of food that people want,” she said.

Lauren cut her hospitality teeth at McDonalds but has worked in a range of settings and venues.

“I think what became very obvious to me was that people are increasingly looking for fast service, but not necessarily ‘fast food’,” she explained.

“So my entire range is ‘grab and go’ style food that has been made with fresh local ingredients.”

Central to the offering is bagels supplied by The Bagel Boys, and filled with a mouthwatering selection of ingredients including smashed avocado, banana and biscoff, Nutella and strawberries, savoury mince, eggs benny & the classic smoked salmon and cream cheese.

These dishes have been tweaked to give them a specific breakfast vibe, from the breaky bagel, to the breakfast wrap; a perfect fast, fresh breakfast option for busy people.

There are also wraps, Brasserie Bread pastries, acai bowls, juices and smoothies. For those who enjoy a caffeine fix with their food, Lauren will be serving an organic, Fair Trade blend of coffee from the Sunshine Coast Coffee Roastery.

“Everything on the menu is designed to be fresh and with flavour in mind,” said Lauren.

“I am trying to prove that “fast” food can taste great and be convenient at the same time”

• Bitesize Bliss Cafe is at Shop 6, 103-105 Currie Street, Nambour, and is open from Tuesday to Saturday, from 6:30am to 2pm.
