Yandina is gearing up for a grand celebration of its unique community spirit at the highly anticipated Yandina Street Fair.

The family-friendly event on Sunday, August 20 from 11am to 7pm, promises a day of joy, entertainment, and a true reflection of Yandina’s identity.

Attractions include a Sizzler, Super Slide, Cup & Saucer, Jumping Castle, RockWall, Face Painting, Glitter Nails, Petting Zoo, Roving Puppeteers, Stilt Walkers, Caricature Artist, Stephen Hollis as ‘Silver Steve’ the street performer and a Magician.

There will be culinary delights from various food trucks, a range of local artisan stalls and live performances from talented local artists and community groups.

The Yandina Street Fair holds a special place in the heart of the community, serving as a celebration of its identity and unity.

The fair returns after four years providing attendees with an opportunity to revel in the town’s rich history and bright future.

The event aims to foster a sense of pride and encourage residents to cherish their community.

The Fair’s program boasts a lineup of captivating entertainment, featuring live performances across three stages.

Highlights include a Welcome to Country, the Caledonian Pipes and Drums, the storytelling of Noel Stallard OAM, and musical showcases by Nambour State College students, Mayah & Band, Escape Plann, Pretty Jesus, Trillions, Million Johnny’s, Flaskas, Demi Casha, Ausphonic, Tony Casley, Johnny Curran, Stu White, and so much more.

Yandina QCWA will host a charming tearoom featuring homemade preserves and baked goods, craft and plant stalls and raffles. The Grand Finale will be a performance by Skyfall Entertainment involving Fire, Light & Special Effects.

State Member for Nicklin Robert Skelton congratulated the organising committee. “It’s going to be a great day, my team and I will be there handing out some goodies, so make sure you come by and say hi.”

Street Fair committee chairman Greg Corbin said the Street Fair served as a vital contributor to the local economy.

“We expect 5000 plus visitors will attend the much anticipated return of the Traditional Street Fair,” he said.

“Now in it’s 43rd year, we invite everyone to come along to the Yandina Street Fair and be part of a proud celebration of the community and business of Yandina & Districts.”
