QCWA to host High Tea for Women’s Day 

Yandina Branch of the Queensland Country Women’s Association (QCWA) is hosting a High Tea on Friday March 8 from noon at the QCWA Division Hall (11 Stevens Street, Yandina) to celebrate International Women’s Day. Everyone is invited to come along and enjoy delicious, homemade savoury and sweet treats served on beautiful vintage crockery and listen to our guest speaker Anna Owen, Principal of Sunshine Coast Grammar School. Attendees are invited to dress in our ‘Elegant in Black and White’ theme. There will also be a raffle, a lucky door prize, and prizes for best dressed. 

Funds raised will allow the branch to continue to support members of the local and wider community.

Blues night heralds Grand Opening of The Vogue 

The much-awaited grand opening of The Vogue – formerly the historic Vogue Theatre – in Nambour is set for Saturday, March 9, promising an unforgettable night of blues music. The newest live music hub on the Coast is all set to host an exciting lineup of blues bands from 7pm.

Music enthusiasts can look forward to performances by The Blues Jumpers, The Spirits Blues Band, and Vix & The Slick Chix. 

The event promises an exhilarating atmosphere, complemented by a licensed bar to enhance the experience.

Nambour’s community choir  finds a new home

SingSpire Chorus, the Nambour Community choir has moved to a new home right in Nambour.  The choir will be meeting on Tuesdays at 7 or Thursdays at 1 at St Johns Parish Hall, 174 Currie St, Nambour.  

This central venue allows us to enjoy a wide range of songs in an  supportive environment.

Singing with others has been medically proven to offer important physical, mental and emotional benefits. New members are welcomed and are offered two free sessions. Elvis’s evergreens at Yandina Country Music

Yandina welcomes guest artist John Abbott to the ACMA concert on Sunday 18th February. With a rich voice and great stage presence, John will showcase evergreens from Elvis, Johnny, Charley and Roy. Maroochy River Country Music Club Concert

The Maroochy River Country Music Club will hold a concert on Sunday 11 February, from 12 noon. Entry is $ 8 for members and $10 for non-members. Free tea and coffee and raffles are available. The venue is the ACMA Country Hall of Fame on Steggalls Road, Yandina. This week we will be featuring a tribute to Elvis Presley. All welcome. Montville murder mystery

The Montville Village Association’s Small Events Committee is preparing to bring you another rollicking mystery. Zonta Club to announce Woman of Achievement

In the spirit of International Women’s Day, the Zonta Club of Blackall Range will hold their annual ‘Dusk on the Deck’ event. 

Scheduled for March 8, 2024, from 5.30pm to 7pm, the gathering will take place at the Maleny Community Centre, providing an opportunity to unwind and learn about Zonta’s impactful support for women locally and globally.

This unique event coincides with ‘Zonta Rose Day’ and will also include the presentation of the prestigious Woman of Achievement Award.

Country Music Maleny: Hinterland Music Club

The first Social/Concert for 2024 will be held on Saturday, February 10th commencing 10am at the Big Shed, Pioneer Village, Bryce Lane, Maleny.

Woombye Snakes FC Mini Roos Muster

Woombye Snakes Football Club is holding a Mini Roos (under six to under 12) muster on February 10 from 9am-noon.

Maleny Scottish Country Dancing Monday nights
