St Josephs raises funds with Tutus for Tonga
Tutus for Tonga
Students from St Joseph’s Nambour were scouring local costume shops for a good cause this week. The kids from Joey’s will be donning tutus to support the Tongan volcano and tsunami appeal.
The “Tutus for Tonga” campaign is taking place on Tuesday the 22/2/22. Children are encouraged to contribute $2, keeping in line with the “two” theme of the day.
Year 6 student Maneeka Hunter knows it is important to learn about how natural disasters impact our world.
“We have been learning about natural hazards in class and we all thought it would be great to help the people of Tonga”, Maneeka said.
The school has partnered with Caritas so that the money raised can get to where it is most needed.
