Co-owners Tracey and Dale Robyn: “We often find ourselves helping clients to declutter, maximise their space and giving people the confidence to ‘tweak’, on their own.”

te.de & co in Yandina celebrates it’s first birthday on Friday, after what has been a challenging first year in business.

Co-owner, Dale Robyn reflected on the past 12 months and how the ongoing climate of lockdowns and restrictions has provided mixed blessings for the business.

“The past year has been enormously challenging for business owners everywhere. For us, it brought an excitement and renewed vision of what that meant for our business in particular and what we can bring to our beautiful town, surrounding coast and hinterland. People generally are experiencing a sense of the importance of their immediate home environment,” Dale explained. “With people spending more time in their own spaces, they are looking for ways to make their homes a peaceful and calm space to reside.”

As a result Dale and her sister and business partner, interior designer Tracey Barkle, have found themselves helping people to transform their homes to achieve this. Tracey has worked as an interior designer on the coast for many years, and Dale has come from a background in retail, styling and design. Their respective skills and experiences have perfectly combined to help their clients create their dream living environments.

“I think a lot of people have a misconception about interior designers, that they are only relevant or accessible if you have a lot of money to spend,” Dale said. “We often find ourselves helping clients to declutter, maximise their space and give people the confidence to ‘tweak’, on their own. And it is so lovely to be able to pull together a particular look, with the addition of just one or two beautiful and thoughtful statement pieces.”

te.de & co offers an inviting and luxurious showroom experience, which has been purposefully designed to inspire.

“People love to come into the store and enjoy the atmosphere,” said Dale. “Both mine and Tracey’s styles are represented here. Tracey is influenced by a rustic, country look while mine is a little more refined with simplistic French country and coastal. Both styles complement one another to become a beautiful blend that people are inspired to see, and how this transforms to an effortless style.

“We are loving being in business in Yandina, and we are very much looking forward to immersing ourselves and contributing to this fabulous community in the coming years.”
