He's a pinball wizard! Arcade grows, relocating near Majestic Cinemas

Sunshine Coast Pinball owner Vaughan Jones … “this allows us to operate alongside Nambour’s established cinema complex and offer our visitors a joint entertainment experience”.

Sunshine Coast Pinball is moving to a new home in central Nambour and plans to extend its services and entertainment offerings.

Arcade owner Vaughan Jones said the new venture would help to underpin the growth of Nambour’s Special Entertainment Precinct with a new co-tenancy alongside Majestic Cinemas in Nambour’s iconic C-Square complex.

“This exciting relocation and expansion project allows us to operate alongside Nambour’s established cinema complex and offer our visitors a unique stand alone, or joint entertainment experience, in an accessible space perfectly suited to pinball and arcade play.”

The 400-square metre site will occupy all of the remaining space on the cinema level of C-Square and will offer arcade guests increased hospitality options.

“With an adjoining multi-storey carpark, commercial kitchen and full sized bar, we can now provide a classic seven-day amusement experience, with extra operating hours and improved public facilities,” Mr Jones said.

Sunshine Coast Pinball will operate as normal at its present Currie St address until moving into C- Square by October, where it will provide joint entertainment packages with co-tenants Majestic Cinemas.

CEO of Majestic Cinemas Kieren Dell said his company was delighted to have the iconic Nambour business join them in the entertainment hub of C-Square. “We look forward to the opportunity to work together to bring even more fun and entertainment to the people of Nambour.”

Mr Jones said he would start offering new pinball and movie birthday party options for children and families.

“Plus we’ll have a separate, enclosed, private function space suitable for family gatherings and corporate events and even internationally sanctioned pinball tournaments.

“Our bar will stock a great range of locally produced drinks, and we’ll have a new ‘diner style’ menu offering too.”

“This is the ideal location for us, our players, for Nambour and the Sunshine Coast more broadly.

“As our unique pinball arcade increasingly attracts more visitors to the area, it’s terrific to be able to showcase our incredible collection of games in a first-class facility, central to the coast and easily accessible by train. I’m just thrilled about it,” Mr Jones said.
