Sundale’s Wayne Greenham, Ken Mills Toyota owner Brett Mills and Tramco directors Rhonda Billet and Peter Clark at the Nambour Tram Co terminal where the audio-visual equipment is installed.

Sundale Community Foundation has funded more than $200,000 in cash grants to 49 eligible recipients across Nambour and district.

One of the 12 projects  funded in the 2021 round was $4411.60 for the community event space at Nambour Tramway on Mill Street Nambour.

“This grant was funded by community partner Ken Mills Toyota,” said  Foundation Board Member Wayne Greenham.

Brett Mills from Ken Mills Toyota said his family has a long and proud association with Nambour. “So it is an absolute pleasure to be able to support the Nambour Tramway Company through the grants program,” he said.

“We believe this grant for audio-visual equipment will have a significant impact on the useability of the community space at the depot on Mill Street and we look forward to seeing events and gatherings thrive here for many years to come.”

The Nambour Tramway Company were thrilled to be announced as recipients of a Sundale Community Foundation Grant.

“Nambour Tram Co is currently in the construction stages of our Tram build, with the terminal now complete,” said Nambour Tram Company Chair Greg Rogerson.

“We look forward to now welcoming many of the public to the space via our events and functions held in the terminal building.  Having the right audio-visual equipment in the terminal building is pivotal for our success and the Sundale Community Grant will largely assist Nambour Tram Co in delivering this for the community to enjoy long term.

Nambour Tram Company Board Director Rhonda Billet agreed.

“As we get closer to our Tram being built, we are hosting and holding more and more community events in and on the grounds here at Tram Co.  This grant will allow us to continue to grow our space, for the community and the future of Nambour.

“I’d like to also express an added thank you to Ken Mills Toyota. Without the business community getting behind community organisations, things like this just simply would not happen and for that we thank them for their contribution also.”
