Story of recovery leaves Toastmasters members speechless

Kay recently wrote a book: ‘Lifted up by Angels’.

Kay Macklin has faced many challenges in her life. Most recently though, Kay suffered a debilitating stroke. But, thanks to her determination and dedicated medical staff, Kay re-gained her cognitive skills. Importantly she regained her speech.

Never one to make excuses, Kay joined Nambour Toastmasters Club a year ago to enhance her confidence and improve her speaking skills.

According to club Vice-president Christine Maher members have heard many stories over the years but Kay’s left them speechless.

“She’s an inspiration to all of us,” said Christine. “Toastmasters can help everyone on their speaking and leadership journey. Your confidence will grow, as Kay Macklin can attest.”

As if all the above wasn’t enough, Kay recently wrote a book: ‘Lifted up by Angels’.
