Resilience & renewal: Kendray family celebrates Grand Reopening

Andrew and Catherine Kendray and daughter  Georga took time out from a busy morning back in their original Rigby Street premises.

From ashes to grand-reopening, the Kendray family, owners of the Stihl Shop Nambour, have been through a hell of a year after a fire gutted their business last February.

Despite the calamity, the family business, operated by Andrew and Catherine Kendray and their daughters, Rebecca, Dana and Georga, held a grand re-opening on Saturday January 20.  The reopening was a major bright spot in a difficult year for the Kendrays, who had been working hard to keep the business running, across two temporary premises, because of insurance and building complexities.

Catherine said the family couldn’t have been happier with the opening, and the support from locals, as over a hundred people flowed through the business during the morning.
