Spiral Performing Arts Festival at Lind Lane

Nambour’s Spiral Inc will be holding their much loved, annual Spiral Performing Arts Festival from the 2nd to the 7th of December at the Lind Lane Theatre.

“Our Performing Arts Festival has been running for more than a decade and it is a firm favourite in our annual calendar,” said Spiral Inc General Manager, Gavin Burkhardt.

“There are four streams; drama, theatre, music and dance and each has a show dedicated to it,” he said.

“Each show is developed by our participants and a highly credentialed creative facilitator in each field. Costumes are made in house and our 40 participants rehearse for 12 months to get the festival ready.”

Spiral Inc is a registered not for profit charity that was established in 1984. Supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and neurodivergence, it offers participants in-home support, community access support, cooking classes, painting classes and art expos.

“We all look forward to the Festival each year, and last year’s shows quickly sold out,” said Mr Burkhardt. “Participants and their families all absolutely love the festival and it is incredibly rewarding to see the joy it brings and the smiles on their faces.”
