Ray White Nambour brings rodeo to town for great cause

Despite heavy rain, last year’s event raised just over $38,000 for Reimagine Nambour.

Get your cowboy boots ready because the annual Ray White Nambour Rodeo is coming to town on Friday, May 6, all in the name of good fun and community spirit.

Ray White Nambour is proud to present this event, which aims to bring the Nambour community together for a night of entertainment and family fun at Nambour Showgrounds.

It all starts at 11am, with the main event starting at 5pm.

Last year’s event raised just over $38,000 for Reimagine Nambour. And that was despite onlookers having to endure heavy rain on the night.

“We are incredibly proud to be supporting Reimagine Nambour and the local Nambour community,” said Ray White Nambour’s Matt O’Grady. “Last year we had over 1700 people go through the gate. So it just goes to show that if you can put events on in Nambour, people will come. People want to support good events and we’ve got the facilities to put them on. We are also proud of the other local businesses that have come on board to support the Nambour Rodeo and this community event.”

The rodeo aims to bring the Nambour community together for a night of entertainment and family fun, with a licensed bar and food available.

“We have amazing facilities in town and a great community vibe, so we knew that it would be well received, especially for such a great cause,” said Matt.

Organiser Abbey Foster said the aim this year was to make the Rodeo even more family friendly.

“So this year we have a portable rock climbing wall, face painting and market stalls as well as food vans,” she said.  “Not only do we have a fantastic venue but also food and a licensed bar for everyone too. Bring the whole family along for an evening of entertainment.”

The event is held in conjunction with Honky-Tonk Rodeo Promotions and the National Rodeo Association.
