Last week was National Volunteer Week, and in recognition and celebration of their tireless volunteers, RangeCare hosted a morning tea at Flaxton Gardens.

Chief Operations Officer, Gary Holland, thanked the volunteers for their ongoing contribution.

“Since the establishment of the Blackall Range Care Group in 1986, our volunteers have played a significant role in establishing our facilities and services,” he said.

“Thank you for the dedication, commitment and compassion you show every day. We are profoundly grateful for your contributions.

“The positive impact you have on our clients is immeasurable.

“As volunteers you are not just helping those in need today, you are setting an example for others to follow.

“You are showing them that kindness, empathy, and service are not just words, but actions that can change lives.

“You are demonstrating that every individual, no matter the level of their contribution, can make a significant impact.”

The RangeCare team of volunteers is 120 strong, and their contribution ranges from assisting in day centres, driving, doing home visits, delivering Meals on Wheels, working at the Op Shop, and tending to the RangeCare vegetable gardens.

Volunteer Coordinator, Hannah Eichhorn said “we are very fortunate at RangeCare to be supported by a large group of volunteers across so many different areas.

“We are so grateful that our volunteers have chosen RangeCare to generously give their time, to support our clients, staff and the wider community.”
