Palmwoods Spring Harvest Festival

Jason Irwin: “It has enabled us to educate young people about recycling, create job opportunities and options for schools, businesses and organisations to fund raise.”

Palmwoods’ much loved Spring Harvest Festival will be taking place again this September from Thursday September 1-30.

“We are thrilled to be able to hold the festival again this year, and we are extremely grateful for the support of the Sunshine Coast Council which has enabled us to make it happen,” said Palmwoods Community Business Association (PCBA) Vice President Jenny McCafferty.

There will be a broad range of activities being held throughout the month, with something for everyone.

“The Festival will commence with the Welcome to Country, presented by Nikita and Caleb of New Dreaming Art and the month-long program is absolutely packed with workshops, book launches and storytelling, music, arts and crafts, culture, beauty, gardening, cooking classes, and of course, opportunities to gather together to enjoy fresh, delicious local food,” said Jenny.

“Putting together such an incredibly rich and diverse calendar of events has only served to confirm the depth of community spirit and talent in our town.”

Palmwoods businesses and organisations have thrown their weight behind the festival, and visitors will enjoy a range of activities and dining options presented by Home Grown Cafe, Chew Chew Bistro, Rick’s Garage, Palmwoods Bowls Club and Palmwoods Hotel.
