Palmwoods Warriors gain cutting-edge advantage with new mower
The Palmwoods Warriors Football Club is celebrating a major win off the field thanks to a $12,000 grant from the Heritage Community Bank – Palmwoods Branch. The funding has assisted the club in purchase a New Hustler Mower from TMI Tractor Group in Nambour, dramatically improving the efficiency & maintenance of their fields plus easing the burden on hardworking volunteers.
With a more powerful engine and a larger cutting system, the new mower has halved mowing time, a welcome relief for the club’s volunteers who dedicate countless hours to supporting the Warriors. “Mowing with this ergonomic mower is game-changing,” said Club President Adam Mathieson. “It’s a positive result for our volunteers and ensures our fields are always in top condition for the kids in our community to play soccer.”
Volunteer exhaustion has been an ongoing challenge for many clubs, so finding solutions to lighten the load has been a priority. This grant not only supports the volunteers but also ensures every dollar raised goes toward creating the best environment for young soccer players to thrive.
“The continued support of Heritage Community Bank – Palmwoods Branch is invaluable,” Mathieson added. “Every dollar we receive is spent on ensuring the kids can play soccer.
Being a local community club, it’s even more rewarding to see community grant funding going back into a local business like TMI Tractor Group to achieve such a fantastic outcome.”
The Palmwoods Warriors Football Club is proud to remain a cornerstone of the local community, and initiatives like this highlight the power of partnerships between community organisations and local businesses.
As the grass growing season begins, the club has to mow 2-3 times a week. The Warriors are looking forward to seeing their beautifully maintained fields filled with young players, eager parents, and passionate supporters.
