Community gathers for Palmwoods’ big Clean-Up

Volunteers enjoyed last year’s event.

The Palmwoods community is banding together to organise and conduct another Clean-Uup Palmwoods event aligned with the National Australia Clean-up Day on March 6.

Clean-Up Palmwoods Day will be staged again on Sunday, March 6 from 7.30-12 noon from the Palmwoods Soccer Club.

“We call on any volunteers who would like to help on the day,” said organiser and local real estate agent Leigh Martinuzzi. “We will have a ‘Find a Flag’ competition too to make things a little more fun and interesting with many cool prizes to be won.

“Any local businesses who would like to help by donating a prize it would be much appreciated.

“We are also looking for people to volunteer as Area Leaders, responsible for registering people on the day and hiding the flags before the event in five local areas: Old Orchard Estate; Palmwoods Town Centre; Federation Park (& Surrounds); Duck Pond (East-side); and Old Palmwoods (Dunning & Area).

The event is organised and hosted by Palmwoods Business & Community Association, Martinuzzi Property Group and the Palmwoods Warriors Soccer Club.
