Pacific Chamber Players present concert at Palmwoods

Pacific Chamber Players is the Sunshine Coast’s favourite chamber ensemble.

Pearlesque chamber music by world-renowned composers will be performed by the Pacific Chamber Players at local halls on March 12 and 13.

Concerts will be held at Palmwoods Memorial Hall on Saturday March 12 at 2pm and Cooroy Memorial Hall on Sunday March 13 at 2pm.

Before the 18th century, European music was dominated by folk and church music. The 19th century saw the rise of classical music some of which will be performed.

This experienced group is Sunshine Coast’s favourite chamber ensemble. It will perform the Romantic Trio Pathétique by Glinka; the hypnotic Overture on Hebrew Themes by Prokofiev and the rarely heard yet delightful Trio Miniatures by Paul Juon.

The program will also include music by Tchaikovsky, Two Pieces for Bassoon and Piano;  Borodin, String Quartet No 2, and a bit of Shostakovich.  Maybe Borodin’s String Quartet will bring back memories of the first episode of Star Trek: Discovery?

Tickets are priced Adults $30/concession $28/School students $10. To book tickets please visit www.pacificchamberplayers.com. Cash sale tickets will also be available at the door. For further information please phone 5446 8128.
