New plaque honours Eudlo’s fallen
A new plaque was unveiled at the Eudlo War Memorial on Monday February 3 by Andrew Wallace MP and Clive Plater OAM.
The plaque commemorates those servicemen from the Eudlo area that made the supreme sacrifice during World War I and World War II. It has been dedicated in recognition of 2025 being the 80th Anniversary of the end of World War II.
The new plaque will now be the location to place wreaths, being suitably located on the same side as the flagpole and path. The memorial has been cleaned and a ramp constructed on the path for improved access thanks to Sunshine Coast Council. The plaque was funded with donations from Andrew Wallace MP, Andrew Powell MP, Heritage Bank Community Branch Palmwoods, Nambour RSL Sub Branch, Cheryl & Don Warren, Margaret & Cliff Bradburn and the Plater Family.
This year’s ANZAC Day Dawn Service will be conducted at the Memorial commencing at 5.28am.
