Ink-reasing its footprint: Nambour Tattoo studio moves to larger premises

The business is run by husband and wife Ben & Mindy Mountseer ... “Nambour has been a great town for us”.

A tattoo parlour is expanding its operations  after receiving significant support from the local community.

After five years trading in Nambour’s thriving Short Street, Seven Seas Tattoo Co is moving into bigger premises.

But the family business’s new location won’t be hard for regulars to find. It’s only shifting two doors down to 29 Short Street.

The business is run by husband and wife Ben & Mindy Mountseer who saw an opportunity to expand after a recent reshuffle of the street’s occupants.

“The perfect opportunity arose for us to move shops into a larger building and help us to grow our business and take on more tattoo artists,” said Ben.  “We see Nambour as a great town that just needs a bit of love.”

Ben said Ignite Church purchased the block of buildings and was expanding its Short Street church. At the same time the pawnbrokers closed after 10 years in business.

“Nambour has been a great town for us and we have received a lot of local support,” said Mindy. “We love seeing other local small family run businesses thriving.”

“We wanted to open a new bigger and better store and we have put a lot of time, effort and planning into making our shop look appealing,” said Mindy. “From bright colours on the walls, floor to ceiling artwork, hand painted signage and a new sparkly black floor. We will also be redoing our graffiti wall mid November.”

“With a bigger shop we are able to have more tattoo artists & guest artists and continue to bring top quality tattooing to Nambour,” said Ben.

Seven Seas Tatto Co is at 29 Short Street Nambour. Phone 5476 2777 or sevenseastattooco@gmail.com.
