On Thursday November 14, Nambour State College welcomed their future Year 7 Pinnacle students to the senior campus for a fun-filled day of hands-on activities tailored to their interest areas.

The athletes began with sprint analyses before testing their strength and endurance with a range of different exercises. They then finished the day with volleyball in the Thunderdome. Meanwhile, the creatives engaged in art sketching and painting before diving into drama games that fuelled their imaginations. Lastly, the leaders and innovators worked in small groups to develop campaigns focused on current issues of interest to them. They then searched the school for endangered Pokémon before participating in insightful panel discussions on the relocation of the Pokémon.

“This day offered future students a chance to connect with their peers, explore their passions, and get a glimpse of the exciting journey that awaits them at Nambour State College,” said acting Junior Secondary Head of Department, Talitha Tranent. “It is always one of the most enjoyable days in the College calendar and we can’t wait to see our new students thrive as they step into their Year 7 adventure!”
