You’ll find vintage, retro and antique goods at Nambour Showgrounds’ Collectorama

Collectorama provides a unique way to express your individuality.

On March 5, the Collectorama Fair will once again be held at Nambour Showgrounds.

“New homemakers to the Sunshine Coast will find shopping at Collectorama provides a unique way to express individuality and avoid mass produced items from the big stores,” said event organiser Laurie Wall.

Thanks to Tom and Laurie Wall, the Collectorama Fair has firmly established itself as a much loved event for those who appreciate vintage, retro, unique and antique goods. It provides a fun and exciting atmosphere to unearth all manner of treasures and bargains.

“We have found that Collectorama attracts people who collect specific items, and eclectic ‘magpies’ who love a standout piece,” Laurie explained. “Upcyclers can always find something unique to put their own stamp on.

“People particularly love to learn the history of items, and this can be gleaned by meeting the seller.  There is an awesome network of information at our fairs because for many of our regular dealers, curating their stock for customers is their life’s work. We have such a large number of dealers, there’s always a bargain to be found”.

“Over the years, the Fair has attracted a broad diversity of stall holders, so we find that there is almost always something for everyone,” said Tom. “So much so that it has become a major drawcard for interior decorators and collectors alike”.

For the convenience of fair goers, there will be ATM’s, food trucks, great coffee and sweet treats available on the day. The Nambour Showgrounds are a weather friendly venue.

“We wanted to make a special mention of the fact that the Wilvos (Wildlife carers) will be there with their stall,” Laurie said. They are always looking for volunteers to help with the ever growing wildlife casualties”.

Collectorama Fair will run from 7am until 2pm at the Nambour Showgrounds. Admission fee is $6 cash for adults, kids and parking are free.
